D K Mittal, a 1977 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs today. Mittal will replace R Bandyopadhyay who retired today. At present, Mittal is the Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) also approved appointment of R Gopalan, presently Secretary, Department of Financial Services as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
He will replace Ashok Chawla who retired today.
