Company Registrations via Central Registration Centre

The Central Registration Centre (CRC) was established in 2016 to improve the ease of doing business by streamlining company registration processes. It enables faster processing of name reservations and incorporations through the SPICe+ web form, which integrates multiple approvals, including PAN, TAN, GST, and bank account registration. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has provided state-wise data on company registrations, with Meerut recording 3,340 new registrations since 2016. In addition, the Central Processing Centre (CPC) was launched in February 2024 to handle non-straight-through processing (Non-STP) e-forms requiring Registrar of Companies (ROC) approval. As of March 19, 2025, the CPC has processed 98,098 e-forms. Centralized processing has led to greater efficiency, uniform application of rules, and reduced processing times for business incorporation across India.

(a) The number of companies registered through Central Registration Centre in the country, State-wise particularly from Meerut;

(b) The benefits likely    to    accrue    by    introducing    centralised processing in the Country, State-wise particularly in Meerut; and

(c) The number of forms being processed through Central Processing Centre?

(a) Total number of companies registered through Central Registration Centre in the Country, State-wise particularly from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh are attached as Annexure A.

(b) Central Registration Centre (CRC) was set up in January, 2016 with an aim of providing greater Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) to all the stake holders and has resulted in faster processing of “Name Availability” and “Incorporation” relating e-Forms. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has deployed a new Web Form called SPICe+ which along with a linked form called AGILE PRO-S provides various services through a single integrated web form through which multiple approvals can be obtained such as : –

i).Name Reservation, ii). Incorporation, iii). PAN, iv). TAN, v). DIN, vi).EPFO Registration, vii).ESIC Registration, viii).GST number, ix). Bank Account Number by various Banks, x). Profession Tax Registration (Mumbai, Karnataka and West Bengal (Kolkata), xi). Delhi Shops and Establishment Registration. Centralized registration of companies has also resulted in faster processing of incorporation related applications, uniformity in application of rules.

(c). Central Processing Centre (CPC) was opened on 2nd February,2024 to process those e-forms which require approval of ROCs, the Non Straight Through Processing (Non STP) forms. Presently 12 e-forms are processed at CPC. A total of 98,098 number of e-forms have been processed up to 19.03.2025.
