As per sources During the hearing SC said to ICAI that those students who have not opted out can appear for ICAI exam, but those who cannot appear although not opted out should be considered as an opt out student and be adjusted in November.

Advocate appearing for ICAI informed the Apex court that As of now Out of 3,46,000 students only 52,000 have opted out.

Advocate appearing for ICAI sought  short adjournment for taking instructions and producing draft notification/circular, likely to be issued by the ICAI to address the stated concerns of the students/candidates.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties for sometime, Mr. Ramji Srinivasan, learned senior counsel appearing for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) prayed for short adjournment for taking instructions and producing draft notification/circular, likely to be issued by the ICAI to address the stated concerns of the students/candidates.
