The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, through its Professional Development Committee, announced the release of the Draft Bank Branch Auditors’ Panel (MEF) for the year 2025–26 on 23 January 2026. The draft panel has been prepared in accordance with RBI norms dated 6 March 2023 and has been made available on the MEF portal. Applicants can view their details—including MEF number, FRN/MRN, category, district, and reasons for ineligibility or category change—by logging into the portal. The draft panel also provides explanations wherever a category change has occurred. Members and firms may submit observations or complaints through the designated online mechanism or contact numbers. The draft panel will remain open for review until 30 January 2026, after which, upon addressing queries, the final panel will be forwarded to the RBI for consideration.
