ELECTION TO THE COUNCIL FROM EIRC-2021
Clarification on the eligibility of Members for re-election in terms of Section 10 of the Act read with Rule 7 of the Company Secretaries (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006
In pursuance of sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (hereinafter ‘the Act’), the Election has been declared for filling casual vacancy from the Eastern India Regional Constituency (EIRC) of the 13th Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
The Members intending to contest the said election may take note of the fact that the Member elected to fill casual vacancy shall hold office until the dissolution of the 13th Council and shall be deemed to have held office for one term for the purpose of his re-election in terms of Section 10 of the Act read with Rule 7 of the Company Secretaries (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006.
