The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the establishment of two new branches and the renaming of one existing branch.
A branch of the Central India Regional Council has been set up at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, effective October 8, 2025. The jurisdiction of the Bhiwadi Branch will include nearby areas within a 50-km radius, covering Tapukara, Tijara, Khushkhera, Neemrana, and Shahjahanpur.
Similarly, a branch of the Western India Regional Council has been established at Morbi District, Gujarat, with jurisdiction over the entire district, including Halvad, Maliya, Morbi, Tankara, and Wankaner.
In a separate notification, ICAI stated that the Ahmednagar Branch of the Western India Regional Council has been renamed as the Ahilyanagar Branch, while other provisions of the earlier notification remain unchanged.
All three notifications were issued under Regulation 159 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, and signed by CA (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Secretary, ICAI.

No. 1-CA (7)/236/2025. —In pursuance of the Regulation 159 (1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify the setting up of a Branch of Central India Regional Council at Bhiwadi city (Rajasthan) with effect from 8th October, 2025.
The Branch shall be known as Bhiwadi Branch of Central India Regional Council and its Headquarters shall be Bhiwadi city (Rajasthan). The Jurisdiction of the Branch shall besides Bhiwadi city, include the following cities/towns falling within a distance of 50 kms from the city limits of Bhiwadi: –
1. Tapukara
2. Tijara
3. Khushkhera
4. Neemrana
5. Shahjahanpur (Raj.)
As prescribed under sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 159, the Branch shall function subject to the control, supervision and direction of the Council through Central India Regional Council and shall carry out such directions as may, from time to time, be issued by the Council.

No. 1-CA (7)/237/2025.—In partial modification of the Notification no. 1-CA(7)/68/2002 dated 29th October, 2002, notifying the setting up of Ahmednagar Branch of Western India Regional Council of ICAI w.e.f 14th September, 2002. It is hereby notified that the name of Ahmednagar Branch of WIRC of ICAI has been changed as Ahilyanagar Branch of WIRC of ICAI. The rest of the contents of Notification no. 1-CA(7)/68/2002 shall remain unchanged.

The Branch shall be known as Morbi District Branch of Western India Regional Council and its Headquarters shall be at Morbi. The Jurisdiction of the Branch besides the following places shall cover whole District of Morbi: –
1. Halvad
2. Maliya
3. Morbi
4. Tankara
5. Wankaner
As prescribed under sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 159, the Branch shall function subject to the control, supervision and direction of the Council through Western India Regional Council and shall carry out such directions as may, from time to time, be issued by the Council.
