& JUNIOR STANDING COUNSEL FOR
INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT, ODISHA REGION.
The Office of the Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Bhubaneswar invites applications from eligible advocates for empanelment as Senior Standing Counsel & Junior Standing Counsel for representing the Department on Direct Tax matters before the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa, Cuttack in terms of CBDT Instruction No.7/2016 dated 07.09.2016 in F.No.279/Misc./M-75/2011-ITJ(Part-II).
2. The advocates desirous of and eligible for the post, in terms of the above said instruction may send completed applications for the post to the following address: 0/o. the Pr. CCIT, Aayakar Bhawan, Rajaswa Vihar, Bhubaneswar – 751007.
3. The format of the application, terms and conditions etc. may be obtained/ downloaded from the official Income Tax Website incometaxindia.gov.in.
4. Canvassing in any form shall constitute a disqualification.
5. For the purpose of experience as mentioned in the CBDT Instruction No.7/2016 dated 07.09.2016, the cut-off date for eligibility will be 01.2022.
6. All the Standing Counsels currently empanelled in the Income Tax Department will have to apply afresh in response to this advertisement.
7. The applications received earlier to this advertisement or received through any other channel or received after the due date are liable to be rejected. Applications deficient in any respect shall also be summarily rejected.
8. The last date for receipt of application is 01.2022.
9. A copy of this notice is also available at the Department’s website i.e. www. incometaxindia. gov. in.
10. This advertisement is issued in supersession of earlier advertisement dated 25.08.2020 and all the candidates whether or not applied previously are requested to apply afresh.
