With the advent of the 68th Republic Day which marks the adoption of   The Constitution of India on 26th January 1950  replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India, the whole country is in joy mood and remembering the strength of India in the world economy.

Today’s Republic Day Celebration held at Rajpath, New Delhi was a great showcase of Indian Culture and Indian Army. It has shown the strength of India and its rich culture very beautifully. The Air Show was the main attraction and people were gazing at sky continuously to catch a glimpse of the best of Indian Airforce ( like Sukhoi Fighter Jet).

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was the invited chief guest today. Both India & UAE are thereby strengthening their ties and as a result, he has committed  $ 75 billion over a period of 10 years for Infrastructure Development in India.

With the recent Uri attack and continuous ceasefire at both the ends, many of Indian army personnel lost their lives for our mental peace and harmony. So it becomes our responsibility to help them in every possible manner we can.

Now you must be thinking I am already contributing towards national development by paying various taxes, so why should I make more investment?

It is totally up to you if you contribute to this specific fund and feel satisfied for your efforts.

Leading with the fame and baton in this field in none other than the Bollywood heartthrob Akshay Kumar. He might be the biggest tax paying actor in recent times in India but also felt a great need to contribute towards the life of the family of jawans.

Mark his words-

He said, “They are decorated with lots of medals and that is good. But I looked at their faces. The Samman (respect) was required for them but they need money too. You have to be practical. I thought how about giving them money and that is when I decided to give 5 lakhs to each family.”

After the recent attacks, he visited J & K BSF base camp and paid tribute to soldiers who have lost their lives in ceasefire violations and encounter. Addressing the army men at the venue, the actor got emotional and called them the real heroes. He said, “Fortunate that I got the opportunity to come and meet you. I have always said I’m a reel hero, you are the real hero.”

Akshay KumarRecently, On the occasion of Republic Day, the actor asked his fans for support to launch an app to donate money directly to the bank accounts of the families of any soldier martyred during his service in the Indian armed forces. Akshay vouched that if he got enough support, he would personally get permission from the appropriate authorities and launch the app.

“We’re preoccupied with our life’s worries,” Akshay said, “But we can do this because we are alive. And we’re alive because those soldiers are sitting with their guns day and night (protecting the country). If we’re able to launch the app, this will be the best salute we can give our armed forces on Republic Day.” He added that the app would directly connect people with the soldier’s families, cutting out any middlemen, bank procedures or official documents. It would also list out the family’s financial situation and how many people depended on the soldier’s salary.

Akshay hoped to raise Rs 15 lakh for each soldier who loses his life in the line of duty. While the amount may sound too high, Akshay broke down the sum by doing some simple maths. He said that in a single rock concert, around 1 lakh people turn up, paying Rs 1,000 for a ticket – so if even just 15,000 people donated Rs 100 to his cause, they would be able to raise Rs 15,00,000 for a martyred soldier. Moreover, within a matter of hours, the family of the soldier would be financially secure. Do you think the actor’s idea will take off this Republic Day?

Why 7th pay commission salary is not paid to defense personnel. Should common man pay additionally for paying to faujis. Tax revenue for I A S baby’s and their cohorts.

  5. RAMESH says:

THIS SHOULD NOT BE VOLUANTERY AS MOST OF PEOPLE R NOT AWARE OF ANY FUND OF THIS KIND.IT NEED LOTS OF MARKETING THE MATTERAS ACTOR AKHSAYA KUMAR DOING RIGHT.AS PER HIS THOUGHT A WEB BASED APP SHOULD BE CREATED SO PEOPLE CAN BE MOTIVATED FOR THE SAME.

  6. Abhishek Kacholiya says:

His idea is very good and practical. Indian citizen wants to help our real national hero(s) but they scared that their money will not reach to real needy hence they don’t do anything. If this kind of mode of option is available then our youth is defiantly help our soldiers.
