In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (as amended from time to time), the Central Government hereby makes following further amendments in the Paragraph 3 of Notification No.15(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated 27.06.2006.
Attention is invited to Policy Circular No.14(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 25.07.2006 regarding recovery of 5% customs duty on notional basis in cases where capital goods are sourced domestically under EPCG Authorisations. Pending further deliberations on the mode of recovery of this component of customs duty, it has been decided to keep this Policy Circular in abeyance.

All applications received would be considered by the Exim Facilitation Committee on merits in consultation with the Ministry of Environment of Forests, New Delhi for issue of Authorisation Letter for export of Sandalwood Oil and shall be subject to any other condition(s) that may be stipulated. The export price indicated in the confirmed Export Order/Irrevocable Letter of Credit shall be one of the factors to be taken into consideration for issue of Authorisation Letter.
We hereby certify that the firm/company for whom the application has been made has not been penalized under the Customs Act, Excise Act, Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act 1992 and FERA/FEMA.
Persons importing / exporting permissible goods as notified from time to time, from/to China through Gunji, Namgaya Shipkila and Nathula ports, provided the CIF value of a single consignment does not exceed Indian Rs.25,000.
