For any COVID-19 related Export or Import issue, a Helpdesk has been operationalized by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Exporters/importers may directly flag their issues through any of the following channels –
The export of Hydroxychloroquine and formulations made from Hydroxychloroquine falling under any ITCHS Code, including the ITCHS Codes mentioned above, is prohibited, with immediate effect.

Now keeping in view the situation arising due to outbreak of Corona Virus in the country, there is likelihood of late filing of bills of entry because of difficulty in getting the related documents or difficulty in reaching the facilities from where the filing can be done on ICEGATE.
At present, the late fee can be waived only from the Bill of Entry assessment screen by the Appraiser or the Assistant Commissioner of Customs. In case of RMS facilitated Bills of Entry, if the waiver is to be given, the Bill of Entry has to be recalled for reassessment for removing /reducing the late fee charges.

It has been decided that exports of all formulations for ITCHS codes falling under Chapter 30 in the Notification No. 50 dated 03.03.2020 shall be allowed to be exported under the Advance Licenses issued on or before the date of Notification (03.03.2020).
As per the SEZ Rules, the restriction on exports does not apply to SEZs. It is, therefore, clarified that the exports of restricted APIs and Formulations made from these APIs is allowed from SEZ Units.
