On March 31, 2003, the Government of India, through Notification No. 01/(RE 2003)/2002-2007, announced the release of the Export and Import Policy for the period 2002-07. This policy, which has been amended over time, is established under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. It will take effect from April 1, 2003, and is intended to serve public interest. The notification includes details outlined in the accompanying annexure, emphasizing the government’s commitment to regulating foreign trade effectively

Dated 31st March 2003

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, the Central Government hereby notifies the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07, as amended from time to time, as contained in Annexure to this notification. The Policy shall come into force 1st April, 2003.

This issues in public interest.
