NOTIFICATION NO.22(RE-99) 1997-2002,

NEW DELHI: 30th July,1999

S.O (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items , 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997 (RE-98) as amended from time to time, namely –

Following new entries will be inserted at the end of appropriate Exim code:

26.2011 00 Zinc Ash in dispersible form
26.2011 00.10 Containing Zinc greater than 65% and lead and cadmium equal to or less than 1.25% and 0.1% respectively. Free Import permitted to Units registered with Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India, on Actual User basis, up to the annual quantity limits indicated in the registration certificate.
26.2011 00.20 Containing Zinc less than 65% and lead and cadmium above 1.25% and 0.1%, respectively. Restricted Import permitted against a licence and only for the purpose of processing or re-use as per Import Licensing Note 1 on Hazardous Waste below.
790200 00.20 Zinc Skimmings containing zinc 65% and above, lead and cadmium less than 1.25% and 0.1%, respectively. Free Import permitted to Units registered with Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India, on Actual User basis, up to the annual quantity limits indicated in the registration certificate
790200 00.30 Zinc skimmings containing zinc less than 65% and lead and cadmium above 1.25% and 0.1% respectively. Restricted Imports permitted against a licence and only for the purpose of processing or re-use as per Import Licensing Note 1 on Hazardous Waste below.
