Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), a prominent player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, has announced impressive financial results for the quarter ending 30 September 2026. The company reported a significant 19% year-on-year increase in consolidated sales, driven by an 8% rise in underlying volume growth. This performance was bolstered by a 13% sales increase in its standalone business, alongside notable growth in international markets such as Indonesia and the Africa, USA, and Middle East regions.
The company’s consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 12% year-on-year, while net profit rose by 14%, reaching ₹523 crore. GCPL’s Managing Director and CEO, Aasif Malbari, attributed this strong performance to strategic priorities and robust growth across key markets, despite challenges such as subdued monsoon conditions in India and inflationary pressures on input costs.
In the Home Care segment, GCPL achieved a 19% value growth, with significant contributions from air fresheners and home care liquids. The company gained market share in household insecticides, supported by successful campaigns and product launches. Godrej Fab and Godrej Spic continued to demonstrate strong growth trajectories, while new products like Godrej Rizz and Godrej Zap received positive market reception.
The Personal Care segment also performed well, reporting an 8% value growth. Despite price increases and grammage reductions, soaps maintained stability, while premium liquid formats and hair colours gained market share. Perfumes and deodorants experienced double-digit growth, supported by healthy underlying volume increases.
Internationally, GCPL’s Indonesia operations reported a 20% sales growth, aided by favourable conditions such as the El-Nino effect. The Africa, USA, and Middle East regions delivered a remarkable 40% sales growth in INR terms, marking the seventh consecutive quarter of double-digit top-line growth. This performance underscores the structural improvements in GCPL’s business and its focus on leveraging opportunities across diverse markets.
Analysts view GCPL’s results as indicative of the company’s resilience and strategic agility in navigating challenging market conditions. The company’s commitment to maintaining healthy channel stock levels and optimising investments in digital and media channels is expected to support sustained growth. As GCPL continues to execute its strategic initiatives, market observers anticipate further positive developments in the company’s financial performance.
