Mumbai, 28 October 2026: Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, India’s leading aluminium producer, has announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and half-year ending 30 September 2026, showcasing robust financial performance and record operational achievements. The company reported a substantial increase in revenue and profit, driven by the highest-ever production levels and strategic integration efforts.

Vedanta Aluminium’s revenue surged to ₹22,066 crore, marking a 41% year-on-year increase, largely attributed to higher production volumes and an improved marketing mix. The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 83% year-on-year to ₹10,192 crore, with an EBITDA margin of approximately 46%. The profit after tax more than doubled to ₹6,187 crore, reflecting a 105% increase compared to the same period last year.

The company further strengthened its financial position by reducing net debt by ₹3,090 crore quarter-on-quarter, improving its Net Debt/EBITDA ratio to 0.7x from 0.9x in the previous quarter. This financial improvement was bolstered by India Ratings upgrading Vedanta Aluminium’s credit rating to AA+ (Stable), with reaffirmations from ICRA and CRISIL.

Operationally, Vedanta Aluminium achieved its highest-ever quarterly aluminium production of 649 kilotonnes, representing a 5% year-on-year and 3% quarter-on-quarter increase. The production of value-added products reached a record 432 kilotonnes, up 31% year-on-year, while alumina production hit a new quarterly high of 895 kilotonnes, a 37% year-on-year increase.

The company continues to advance its integration strategy, aiming to establish one of the world’s most competitive and fully integrated aluminium businesses. During the quarter, significant milestones were achieved, including the operationalisation of the second zone of the 435 KTPA BALCO expansion and obtaining Consent to Operate for the Sijimali Bauxite Block, marking progress in capacity expansion and resource security initiatives.

Rajesh Kumar, Whole-Time Director and CEO of Vedanta Aluminium, commented on the results, highlighting the company’s momentum in scaling its operations and reinforcing its integrated value chain. Anup Agarwal, CFO, emphasised the company’s disciplined cash generation and capital management, which facilitated the reduction in net debt and strengthened its financial profile.

Analysts note that Vedanta Aluminium’s strong financial and operational performance positions it well to continue funding strategic priorities while maintaining financial discipline. The company’s focus on cost competitiveness and expanding its portfolio of value-added products is expected to support its growth trajectory amidst fluctuating global aluminium market conditions.
