Summary: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified the setting up of a new branch of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) at Jalna city, Maharashtra. No. 1-CA (7)/244/2026 .— In pursuance of the Regulation 159 (1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify the setting up of a Branch of Western India Regional Council at Jalna city (Maharashtra) with effect from 29th July, 2026.
The Branch shall be known as Jalna Branch of Western India Regional Council and its Headquarters shall be Jalna city (Maharashtra). The Jurisdiction of the Branch shall besides Jalna city, include the following cities/towns falling within a distance of 50 kms from the city limits of Jalna: –
i. Ambad
ii. Bhokhardan
iii. Badnapur
iv. Ghansawangi
v. Partur
vi. Mantha
vii. Jafrabad
As prescribed under sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 159, the Branch shall function subject to the control, supervision and direction of the Council through Western India Regional Council and shall carry out such directions as may, from time to time, be issued by the Council.
