ICAI Introduces Online Facility for Surrender of Examination Exemptions Through SSP Portal
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Examination Department, issued an Important Announcement dated 30 July 2026 introducing an online facility for candidates to apply for the surrender of exemptions obtained, including Permanent Exemption. The announcement states that the facility has been introduced as part of ICAI’s continuing commitment to improve the examination process and make it more accessible to candidates. Candidates wishing to surrender an exemption may use the SSP dashboard under the “Exam Functions” section by logging in with their credentials. The announcement also specifies the cut-off dates for submitting such requests: 5 August 2026 for the CA Intermediate September 2026 Examination and 30 September 2026 for the CA Final November 2026 Examination. Important Announcement
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has introduced an on-line facility to apply for the surrender of exemption obtained (including Permanent Exemption).
This on-line facility aligns with our continuing commitment to improve the examination process, making it more accessible to the candidates. Candidates who wish to surrender the exemption obtained may do so on the SSP dashboard under Exam Functions, using login credentials as per the below cut-off dates:
For CA Intermediate, September 2026 Exam: – 5th August 2026
For CA Final November 2026 Exam: – 30th September 2026
