The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has invited online applications for engagement of Research Associates and Consultants on a contractual basis under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The notification dated 26 May 2026 announces three vacancies for Research Associates in Law and two vacancies for Consultants in Law or Business Management, with the number of posts subject to change. The initial contract period will be one year, extendable based on performance and organizational requirements. Eligibility criteria include qualifications in law, management, chartered accountancy, cost accountancy, or company secretaryship, along with relevant professional experience. Monthly remuneration ranges from ₹70,000 for Level I Research Associates to ₹2.5 lakh for Level V Consultants, with a 10% annual increase. Candidates must apply online and upload supporting documents. Applications with incomplete information will be rejected. The last date for submission of online applications is 15 June 2026.

Engagement of Research Associates (RAs)/Consultant in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India on contract basis.
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) established under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Research Associates on contract basis to assist the Board in the discharge of its functions under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 in the following disciplines:

2. The contract for engagement of the Research Associates will be initially for a period of one year which can be further extended as per requirements of the Board and subject to satisfactory performance.
3. The qualifications, eligibility and compensation are given in Annexure A. The engagement of the Research Associates shall be governed by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Engagement of Research Associates and Consultants) Regulations, 2017, as amended from time to time. Research Associates may be given an option, if there is a change in the terms and conditions of engagement on implementation of the further amendment in Regulations. These Regulations are available at ibbi.gov.in.
4. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease at the discretion of the competent authority.
5. Applications shall be submitted through online mode only.

Note:
i. Candidates must upload the documents/certificates in support of all the claims made by them in the application like, Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience, Desirable Qualification(s) etc. or any other information as sought in the online application, separately against each claim in pdf file.
ii. In case the marks have been given in Grades, the candidate should fill up grade as well as the equivalent percentage in the online form as per the norms of the concerned Institute/Board/ University.
iii. Only post-qualification experience would be considered.
iv. The experience gained in the field of NCLT/NCLAT/IBBI/IBC/Insolvency etc should be indicated in a separate column explicitly.
v. In case of receipt of applications more than 4 times of number of vacancies a scrutiny committee will be constituted for shortlisting of candidates.
vi. Incomplete application or application submitted with deficient documents would be summarily rejected.
vii. Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail addresses in the online application as all correspondence will be made by the IBBI through e-mail only.
viii. Candidates shortlisted for interview on the basis of the information provided in the online applications submitted by them will be required to send self-attested copies of documents/relevant certificates in support of the claims made in the application as and when demanded by the IBBI and have to also produce original copy of the said documents as and when sought by IBBI.
