All communications including declarations, intimations, applications, grievance letters shall be received in the Centralized Receipt Section (CRS) except: i) all refund applications/claims; ii) replies to queries in live bills of entry; iii) documents submitted at the time of personal hearing;

The avoidable delays on account of non-uniform Customs procedures adopted at some ports/Customs stations not only increase transaction cost and time of clearance but also prove to be major constraints in making Indian ports international transshipment hubs. Therefore, a Committee was set up by Ministry of Shipping for simplification of shipping related Customs procedures. This is to inform all concerned that on account of presentation of Union Budget, 2015-16 on 28.02.2015, submission of Bills of entry at the ICES will be stopped on 28.02.2015 at 05.00 PM. Section 48 approvals will also be stopped on 28.02.2015 at 05.00 PM. CHAs/Importers and members of the Trade are advised to expedite the clearance and take Out of Charge of their Bills of Entry in the pipeline before 05.00 PM on 28.02.2015.

ccordingly, the Public Notices issued by JNCH from time to time for grant of LoFSP were re-examined. In order to improve facilitation to the Exporters, it has been decided to classify the cases as detailed in next page. In the event it appears that the case is serious in nature, LoFSP will not be granted.

One PAN- One IEC: Multiple IEC against single PAN to be deactivated

Only one IEC shall be issued against a single PAN. Multiple IECs issued against a single PAN will be deactivated suo-moto after 31.03.2015.

Revision in Appendix 37 A of Handbook of Procedure Volume I

Effect of Public Notice: Product description and ITC HS codes of certain items mentioned in Appendix 37-A, Vishesh Krishi Gram Udyog Yojana (VKGUY) Table 2 of HBP v1 have been amended to bring more clarity. The benefits of VKGUY on exports made between 25th February 2014 and the date of issue of this Public Notice, for items mentioned at Sl. No. 2 and 3 of this Public Notice, shall be admissible on the basis of product description alone, irrespective of ITC (HS) Code mentioned in the shipping bill.

Online IEC Application fees corrected to Rs. 250 instead of Rs. 500

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy (2009-2014), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies that the application fee for online IEC, notified vide Public Notice. 79/(RE-2013)/2009-2014 dated the 31st December, 2014 should be read as Rs 250/- instead of Rs 500/- .

DGFT- New format of IEC numbers – SMS/Email on IEC Application Status

A new format for issue of IEC numbers in electronic form i.e. e-IEC, based on online applications, is being introduced as Appendix 18B-1. Further, it is notified that decision regarding grant or refusal of IEC will be conveyed to the applicant through sms and system generated letter, on the registered email address of the applicant.
