TDS Statements are furnished electronically; tax credit appears in payee accounts. Thus issuing of TDS Certificate stipulates an additional procedure that involves time, cost and efforts. The non compliance of issuing of TDS certificates is visited with penalty.
The last date for passing the examination for GST Practitioners to be extended till 12.2019 for those GST Practitioners who have enrolled under rule 83(1)(b) i.e. who were sales tax practitioner or tax return preparer under the existing law for a period of not less than five years.

Investigation in 3626 cases of GST evasion/violations has been initiated in the present financial year by CGST (Central GST) formations (up to December, 2018). On the basis of investigation conducted so far it emerges that the amount of tax involved in these 3626 evasion/violations cases as mentioned in part(a) above is estimated to be Rs. 15278.18 crore (up to December, 2018)
