New online PAN application facility has been launched for PAN applicants with an option of paperless submission of application using Aadhaar based e-Sign
Applicant can select any one of the following three options while filling online PAN application “ Physical acknowledgement, Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or Aadhaar based e-Sign. In DSC option, an applicant needs to upload scanned images (as per defined parameters) of photo, signature and supporting documents while making application. In Aadhaar based e-Sign option, Aadhaar would be considered as supporting document and the photograph used in Aadhaar card would be used in PAN card as well.
In case Aadhaar number of Individual applicant is entered in the application form, then proof of Aadhaar along with supporting documents is to be submitted to NSDL e-Gov. If copy of Aadhaar is selected as Proof of Identity/Address/date of birth, then it is mandatory to enter Aadhaar number. In case applicant is MINOR, Aadhaar of minor should be mentioned in the application form. (i.e. Do not mention Representative Assessee’s Aadhaar number) Aadhaar number (if provided) would be authenticated using applicants details as mentioned in application form.
In case, AADHAAR is mentioned in the application (applicable for Individuals only), then the copy of AADHAAR allotment letter should also be enclosed along with the acknowledgement.

I applied for a new pan card and mentioned my passport as the proof of address, dob etc and uploaded the same. I didn’t upload my adhaar card but I entered the adhaar no in the form and authentication is also successfully done.
I received an mail mentioning that I have to send the adhaar enrollment form to the given address,\.
my question is, is it required to send the adhaar or my passport is acceptable?
it is also mentioned that no physical documents are required if the application is done using e-sign and kyc.
kindly let me know if anyone also faced such an issue and when will I receive the pan card after processing?

DO NOT USE NSDL for applying or correcting PAN Card – they are big cheats. Your amount will be debited but eKYC and eSign very difficult to process after many times.
If eSign is successful, they will still delay further in process and simply waste your time asking for photo, signature and aadhaar etc.
So, better try with any other service provider rather than NSDL – big looters and cheaters!!!

I have applied for new PAN for my wife through Umang app(online eSign mode – Adhaar as proof of document).
Now when I check the status of application in Umang app, it shows ‘Your application is withheld for processing. Marked for objection -‘.
So I sent an email to support email address but they just provided me link to check the status at PAN website and when I checked it, I found that Objection reason is “Required clear scan of Signature. (Scanning not clear)”
Now problem is I am not getting where to submit the clear signature again.
Could you please help me to solve this problem?

I applied for correction to PAN card through e sign e KYC.(Paperless) I got my e PAN Card by Email in one month. The name of PAN Card is e PAN CARD and not PAN CARD.
I applied for change in PAN details through E-sign process using AADHAAR number. And I did not get any option to upload any documents.
After completing the process, I got a mail saying
“If application made using e-Sign mode – Then there is no need to forward physical documents.”.
But when I am trying to check the status of PAN card , it says
“We have not yet received the supporting documents with respect to your application for ‘New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data’. Kindly submit the requisite documents to NSDL to enable us to process your PAN application at the earliest.”
Please let me know what should be done now
I applied for name change & chose the option of e-KYC where no documents need to be submitted. But after making the payment I got the message –
“Your e-KYC based request has failed hence you cannot proceed the application with e-KYC mode. Kindly generate new token and proceed with physical mode. Kindly note that you will get refund of the PAN application in next seven working days.”

If any1 apply online pan using e-sign just upload the documemts no need to send physically and if apply using e-sign & e-kyc No need to upload / physically send documnts , pan card will printed according to ur aadhaar card details. If there is no signature in ur pan card don’t worry , just signed it after receiving the card as we sign on bank Debit Card.

At first you need to check your mail send by NSDL which shows your link and also contain temporary token number which is required for further process and after click on the link and then select registered user and after that fill your details after filling your details you will be the step where you left it i think it will help you as well as it worked for me
