In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Securities And Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Stock Brokers and Sub-brokers) Regulations, 1992.

The status of utilization of debt limits as on March 31, 2013 indicating the quantum of limits which are freely available for investments by FIIs and QFIs shall be put on the SEBI website and thereafter, the monitoring of investments by FIIs and the dissemination of daily data shall be done by the depositories in the same manner as is being done in the case of QFIs.

Provided that in the case of clients of a mutual fund, the Registrar to an Issue and Share Transfer Agent appointed by the mutual fund may perform the initial KYC/due diligence of the client, upload the KYC information with proper authentication on the system of the KRA, and furnish the scanned images of KYC documents to the KRA.
