Dear Sirs,

Please refer to SEBI circular no MFD / CIR / 8 / 92 / 2000 dated September 18, 2000 regarding valuation of securities and provisioning of NPAs. As requested by Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) vide their letter dated 29.09.2000 and accepted by us, the guidelines would become effective as follows:

1.Guidelines for identification and provisioning of NPAs and guidelines for valuation of non-traded and thinly traded equity / equity related securities shall be effective from October 16, 2000.

2.Guidelines for valuation of non-traded and thinly traded debt securities shall be effective from December 1, 2000.
