Notification under regulation 4(1) of the SEBI (Central Database of Market Participants) Regulations, 2003
F.No. SEBI/LE/03/23 142.– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Central Database of Market Participants) Regulations, 2003 (hereinafter referred to as the said regulations) and having taken into consideration the factors mentioned in regulation 14, the Board hereby specify :
a. stock brokers within the meaning of clause (e) of rule 2 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Stock Brokers and Sub-brokers) Rules, 1992 as ‘specified intermediaries’ for the purposes of clause (u) of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 2 of the said regulations;
b. the 31st day of March, 2004 as the notified date for the purpose of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 for such specified intermediaries.
