In exercise of then powers conferred by clause (23D) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies Canbank (Offshore) Mutual Fund set up by Canara Bank, being a corresponding new bank under column 2 of the First Schedule to the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 (5 of 1970), as mutual fund of a public sector bank for the purposes of the said clause.
