Notification No. 196/2005, Dated 7-9-2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), Central Board of Direct Taxes, Number S.O. 994(E) dated the 9th September, 2004, namely :—

In the said notification, the Schedule annexed thereto, for serial numbers 3, 4, and 5 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall, respectively, be substituted, namely :—

4.	Joint Commissioner of Income-tax (Transfer Pricing Officer-II), Mumbai	Mumbai	Areas lying within the territorial limits of States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, Daman & Diu	Persons or class of persons whose names begin with the alphabet F to P and are assessed or assessable within the jurisdiction of Assessing Officer having their office in the territorial area indicated in Column 4.
5.	Joint Commissioner of Income-tax (Transfer Pricing Officer-III), Mumbai	Mumbai	Areas lying with in the territorial limits of States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, Daman & Diu	Persons or class of persons whose names begin with the alphabet Q to Z and are assessed or assessable within the jurisdiction of Assessing Officer having their office in the territorial area indicated in Column 4.
