1. We have heard Mr. Ranjit Kumar, learned Solicitor General of India. We have also perused the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the Union of India, and more particularly, the observations recorded therein pertaining to the selection process wherein the DPC proceedings were conducted in the year 2015.
2. During the course of hearing, the reasons recorded by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet were handed over to this Court for its perusal, in a sealed cover. We have perused the same, and invited the attention of the learned Solicitor General to some of the findings recorded therein. He seeks a short adjournment, so as to enable him to obtain instructions in the matter. Instructions be obtained within three weeks from today.
