THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN INCOME TAX OFFICIAL

The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal(Madhya Pradesh) has convicted Shri Anand Singh Shah, then Tax Assistant, working in the office of Commissioner of Income Tax, Bhopal and sentenced him to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.20,000/- in a bribery case.

CBI had registered a case U/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 on 10/09/2008 on a complaint alleging the demand of bribe of Rs.15,000/- against Shri Anand Singh Shah,Tax Assistant working in the office of Commissioner of Income Tax, Bhopal. CBI caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 15000-/ from the complainant to handover the complaint available in the Income Tax departmant made against him(Complainant).

A charge sheet U/s 7 &  13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) of PC Act, 1988 was filed on 30-01-2009 in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Bhopal against Shri Shri Anand Singh Shah.
