Sub: e-filed returns in CPC can be viewed in AST – reg
In one of our Pilot Projects it was bought to our notice by the field formations that the e-filed returns were not visible to the concerned assessing officers.
2. The matter was taken up with DGIT (Systems) who has informed that the following information can be accessed on the system by the AO with regard to e-filed returns of his/her jurisdiction (ward/ circle):-
(i) The efiled returns transferred from CPC to AST for processing can be viewed by the AO/Range/CIT.
(ii) The AO can view the eReturns that are pending for processing at his end.
(iii) The AO can view the eReturn filed under his jurisdiction with details of number of returns received with the digital signature and number with/without ITR-V.
(iv) The efiled return summary report for any period is available to the AO.
(v) The efiled return detailed report for any period is also available to the AO.
3. The detailed procedure for accessing the aforesaid information along with screen shots is enclosed for ready reference.
4. It is requested that this may be brought to the notice of all the A0s/Addl./JCsIT/ CsIT in your region.
