Goods and Services Tax Council has issued an Office Memorandum dated 11.07.2024 announcing partial modifications to the Group of Ministers (GoM) on GST System Reforms. This modification reconstitutes the membership of the GoM with Shri. Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, appointed as the Convenor. The memorandum retains the existing terms of reference for the GoM, as detailed in previous communications. Approved by the competent authority, this update aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the GST System Reforms under the leadership of the reconstituted GoM.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject : Partial Modification to the Group of Ministers (GoM) on GST System  Reforms.

In partial modification to the OM No. S-31011/12/2021-DIR(NC)-DOR dated 22.09.2022, OM No. S-31011/112/2021-DIR(NC)-DOR dated 24.09.2021 and F. No. 342/GoMonSystemReforms/GSTC/2022 dated 22.08.2023 on the subject cited above, it is stated that reconstituted membership of the GoM is as follows:
