CBIC has announced extension of due date for Form GSTR-9 / GSTR-9C for Financial Year 2017-18 on Twitter on 31.01.2020. As per twitter Twitter due date was extended to 07th February 2020 but when Taxpayer of Uttar Pradesh (UP) read Notification No. 06/2020-Central Tax, dated the 03rd February, 2020 in this regard they were shocked, As in notification due date for UP was extended only upto 05th February 2020. Post issue of Notification Ministry has realised its Mistake and now issued a Corrigendum and notified revised due date of 7th February 2020 for UP.

G.S.R. 85(E).—In the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 06/2020-Central Tax, dated the 03rd February, 2020, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 82(E), dated the 03rd February, 2020,—

i. at page 2, in line 30, for the words “Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand”, read “Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand”;

ii. at page 2, in line 35, for the words “Tripura, West Bengal”, read “Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal”.
