The Superintendent was caught red-handed by CBI officials while he was in the act of accepting a sum of Rs. Five Lakh. This amount was meant to be the first instalment of the total negotiated bribe.

However, the prompt action taken by the CBI reflects the agency’s commitment to tackle corruption head-on. Such actions not only send a strong message to corrupt officials but also reassure businesses and the general public of the rule of law and justice. The discovery of a significant sum of cash and assets suggests a deeper probe might unveil more instances of corruption, emphasizing the importance of consistent vigilance and monitoring.
