Opening of Individual Pension Account under eNPS

To create a retirement corpus one of the secured way is National Pension Scheme (NPS). Resident as well as Non- Resident can open this account. Do you want to know how to start contributing to NPS without going anywhere physically? Let’s find the answer below.

There is an eNPS facility which you can use to make your regular contributions to the NPS account.

A) How to Register?

Just go to the site https://enps.nsdl.com/eNPS/NationalPensionSystem.html you will redirect to Home page. Then read all the instructions. Then click on – Click Here for Registration of Virtual ID (VID) for making same day Investment directly through your Bank Account under NPS. Then click on Registration tab and you will redirect the Online Subscriber Registration page.

B) You will find 2 options for KYC

1. PAN based registration &
2. Aadhaar Offline e-KYC

In PAN based registration your existing bank account / demat account details used to matched the details w.r.t. KYC.

In Aadhaar offline e-KYC you need to upload paperless offline Aadhaar e-KYC zip file as per instructions.

C) Uploading of scanned Documents

Scanned documents that you have to upload are as follows:-

1. PAN card
2. Cancelled cheque
3. Scanned signatures

D) Once payment done

Once you have done with payment you have to either e-sign the form as per instructions to complete the process of account opening or you have to take printout of the form, affix your photograph, sign it send it to central record keeping agency.
