I welcome the growing emergence of a third leg to the global convergence debate surrounding IFRS. To date this debate has been too Euro-US centric and a strong Asian presence in future talks would be beneficial.

Hopefully other Asian countries will join with India and Japan to help in the development of new international standards and global convergence with IFRS.
