Facing the threat of confiscation of its Rs 183 crore bank guarantee for alleged irregularities in the construction of Commonwealth Games Village, the builder Emaar MGF today dismissed all charges against it saying all quality standards were met.
The statement comes within hours of reports of the government directing confiscation of the Rs 183 crore bank guarantee furnished by the company and legal action against it after “irregularities” and deficiencies were found in the CWG Village constructed by it.
The company, however, denied such a development.
“The Bank Guarantee was extended till December 31, 2010 at the behest of DDA… We have not received any notice for encashment of the bank guarantee as well,” the company said.
