Persistent Systems Limited has announced its financial results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026, showcasing a strong performance with significant revenue growth. The company’s Board of Directors approved the results at a meeting held on 15 October 2026, at its registered office in Pune, India.
For the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, Persistent Systems reported a revenue of USD 487.6 million, marking a 7.8% increase quarter-over-quarter and a notable 20.0% rise year-over-year. In Indian Rupee terms, the revenue stood at INR 46,639 million, reflecting an 8.4% growth from the previous quarter and a 30.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The company maintained a healthy EBIT margin of 15.0%, with an EBIT of INR 6,977.2 million. However, the Profit After Tax (PAT) saw a decline, registering INR 3,515.1 million, a decrease of 27.2% quarter-over-quarter and 25.4% year-over-year.
Sandeep Kalra, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Persistent Systems, expressed satisfaction with the company’s consistent growth, marking the 26th consecutive quarter of revenue increase. Kalra highlighted the company’s progress in acquiring Nagarro, securing approximately 94.04% of its share capital and voting rights. This strategic acquisition aligns with Persistent’s long-term merger and acquisition strategy, aiming to enhance engineering capabilities and expand global delivery services. The company also received shareholder approval for an equity raise of up to USD 450 million to support this acquisition.
Persistent Systems’ focus on strengthening its AI capabilities through its 3C framework and AI-driven platforms continues to be a priority. The company reported a Total Contract Value (TCV) of USD 633.5 million and an Annual Contract Value (ACV) of USD 481.0 million in new order bookings for the quarter. The quarter also witnessed several key client wins across various sectors, including software, hi-tech, banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, and life sciences.
Analysts note that Persistent Systems’ robust revenue growth and strategic acquisitions position the company well for future expansion. However, the decline in PAT highlights the challenges of integrating new acquisitions and the need for continued focus on cost management and operational efficiencies.
