Subject: Validity of RCMC issued by Export Promotion Councils

Attention is invited to Para 3.12.3 of Handbook of Procedure Vol I of Foreign Trade Policy which states that “The RCMC shall be deemed to be valid from 1st April of the licensing year in which it was issued and shall be valid for five years ending 31st March of the licensing year, unless otherwise specified”.

2. Representations have been received in this office regarding non–implementation of the validity period as provided in the above Para 3.12.3 of HBP Vol I. In this regard, it is directed that Export Promotion Councils including Commodity Boards functioning as Export Promotion Councils shall implement the provision of Para 3.12.3 of HBP, which provides 5-year validity of RCMC.

3. This issues with the approval of the Director General of Foreign Trade.
