On December 30, 2004, the Government of India issued Public Notice No. 39 (2004-2009), which made amendments, additions, and corrections to the Schedule of DEPB (Duty Entitlement Passbook) rates. This notice was issued under the powers granted by Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I). The updated DEPB rates are crucial for exporters as they impact the duty drawback benefits available on exports.
