Public Notice No. 23/2004-09, dated 11th November 2004, issued by the Government of India, outlines amendments and deletions to the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 2, 2002-2007) under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The notice introduces corrections for chemical and allied products as well as miscellaneous products. Specifically, it deletes the import item listed at Sr. No. 7 in the Chemical & Allied Products section (amended previously by Public Notice No. 58 on 12th April 2004). In the Miscellaneous Products section, the import items listed at Sr. Nos. 3 and 4, along with their quantities, have been removed as well, following amendments made in Public Notice No. 20 on 1st August 2003. These changes, which adjust the list of importable products, are issued in public interest.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/deletions/corrections/additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended:-
