Public Notice No. 18 (RE-2006)/2004-09, dated June 12, 2006, modifies Public Notice No. 7 (RE-2006)/2004-09 issued on May 9, 2006. The amendment updates Sl. No. (ii) of Paragraph 2 to specify that imports must be completed by March 31, 2007. Additionally, Sl. No. (iv) of Paragraph 2 is revised to allow imports only through a list of designated ports, which now includes Nhava Sheva, Kandla, Kolkata, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Mundra, and Mumbai. This revision is made under the powers granted by Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1). The changes aim to regulate and streamline the import process for better monitoring.

PUBLIC NOTICE No. 18 (RE-2006)/2004-09

NEW DELHI : Dated 12th June, 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Public Notice No. 7(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 9.5.2006.

(1) Sl.No. (ii) of Para 2 will be amended to read as follows:

(ii) Imports will be made by 31st March, 2007.

(2) Sl. No. (iv) of Para 2 will be amended to read as follows:

(iv) The import will be allowed into India only through the following ports, namely, Nhava Sheva, Kandla, Kolkatta, Chennai, Vishakhapatanam , Mundra and Mumbai.
