The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued Public Notice No. 14/2004-2009 on 7th October 2004, addressing corrections to the revised Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) rates for engineering items notified earlier in Public Notice No. 13/2004-2009 dated 6th October 2004. Under the authority of Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I), the Director General of Foreign Trade has updated the value caps in the DEPB schedule. Specifically, the value caps in Column 4 of the annexure for Sl. No. 337 and 352 have been revised to Rs. 60 per kg and Rs. 1000 per kg, respectively. These corrections are issued in the public interest to ensure clarity and proper implementation of the DEPB scheme.

Attention is invited to Public Notice No.13/2004-2009 dated 6.10.2004 notifying revised DEPB rates for Engineering Items in the DEPB Schedule.

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following corrections to the said Public Notice.

The value cap in col. 4 of annexure to Public Notice 13/(2004-2009) dated 06.10.2004 against entry at Sl. No. 337 and 352 may be corrected to read as Rs. 60/-per K.G. and Rs. 1000/-per K.G respectively

This issues in Public Interest.
