Subject: Laying down of modalities for import of Peas (including Yellow peas, Green peas, Dun peas and Kaspa peas), Pigeon Peas (Cajanus cajan)/Toor Dal, Moong dal and Urad dal For the fiscal year 2019  2020.

Vide Notification No S.O. 1478(E), S.O. 1479(E), S.O. 1480(E) and S.O. 1481(E) dated 29.03.2019 import policy/policy condition of Pigeon Peas (Cajanus cajan)/Toor Dal, Urad dal, Moong dal and Peas (including Yellow peas, Green peas, Dun peas and Kaspa peas) has been laid down. Details of quantity to be allowed to be imported during fiscal year 2019-20 are as under:-

2. Accordingly, it has been decided to invite applications from millers/ refiners as per details below:

(i) Application:

a. Applications are invited online from the intending millers/refiners (having own refining/processing capacity) of pulses/peas for its import as per ANF-2M of FTP 2015-20 to DGFT, at poliev2-€1211(& besides the concerned jurisdictional Regional Authorities .A signed copy of the application shall also be submitted to the DGFT Hqrs. (Policy 2 Division), Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. Application fee for these applications shall be paid according to procedure as per Appendix 2K of Appendices & Aayat Niryat Forms. For each refining/processing unit, applicants shall provide self certified copy of latest IEM issued by DIPP and/or any other document issued by Central/State/District Authorities indicating its refining/processing capacity. The absence of any such document will render the application liable for rejection.

b. The applications will be received between 16th April to 30th April, 2019. The allocation of quota for each eligible applicant shall be notified as per the decision of the EFC under Para 2.51 of the HBP, 2015-20. The EFC, while considering applications, will take into considerations; inter alia, the monthly/ annual refining/processing capacity of the applicant, the quantity applied for by the applicant and the total number of applications received. The total available quota for each category will be distributed equally or the applied quantity, whichever is lower, amongst eligible millers/refiners.

(ii) Reporting: The license holders shall submit Monthly statements indicating the actual arrival of shipments at the Indian ports at; and to his jurisdictional Regional Authority.

(iii) DGFT reserves the right to make any changes in allocation as deemed fit at any point of time.

Effect of this Trade Notice : Procedure for import of 2 lakh MT of Pigeon Peas (Cajanus cajan)/Toor Dal, 1.5 lakh MT of Urad dal, 1.5 lakh MT of Moong dal and 1.5 lakh MT of Peas (including Yellow peas, Green peas, Dun peas and Kaspa peas) is laid down.
