NOTIFICATION NO. 53 (RE-2005)/2005-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED 17 MARCH, 2006

S.O.(E)- In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.1 and 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments against Sl.No.44 under Chapter 7 “Edible Vegetables and certain Roots and Tubers” in Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2004-2009 : –

(i) Tariff Item HS Code Nos. “0710 80 90” and “0711 90 90” are deleted.

(ii) Reference to Notification No.20 dated 8.10.2003 below the item description is deleted.

(iii) Item description stands corrected to read as follows :

“Onion (all varieties) including Bangalore rose onions and Krishnapuram onions fresh or chilled, frozen, provisionally prepared or dried but excluding onions cut, sliced or broken in powder form”.
