NOTIFICATION NO. 24 (RE-2003)/2002-07

NEW DELHI, DATED the 25th November, 2003

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 2.1 of the Export and Import Policy – 2002-07, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments to ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 2002- 07 published on 31st March, 2002 as amended from time to time.

1. After amendment the following entry would read as under: –

S.No Exim Code Item Description Policy Conditions relating to the Policy
1 27101910 Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) State Trading Enterprises Imports subject to Para 2.11 of Exim Policy and conditions at Import Licensing Note (2) below.

2. The following Import licensing Note shall be added at the end of Chapter 27 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 2002- 07 published on 31st March, 2002 as amended from time to time-

“ (2) Import of SKO shall be allowed through State Trading Enterprises (STEs) i.e. IOC, BPCL, HPCL and IBP for all purposes with STC being nominated as a State Trading Enterprise (STE) for supplies to Advance Licence holders. Advance Licence holders shall however, have the option to import SKO from the above mentioned STEs including STC.”
