The Government of India, through Notification No. 1 (RE-2005)/2004-2009 dated April 8, 2005, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), updated the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) for 2004-2009 with its Annual Supplement. Exercising the powers under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and in accordance with Paragraph 1.2 of the FTP, the Central Government announced that the updated policy would take effect from April 1, 2005. This notification serves to formalize the implementation of the revised policy, aimed at regulating and promoting foreign trade practices during the specified period.

NOTIFICATION No. 1 (RE-2005)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 8th April, 2005

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.2 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby notifies the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 incorporating the Annual Supplement as updated on 8th April 2005 and contained in Annexure to this notification. The policy shall come into force w.e.f. 1st April 2005.
