Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has amended the export policy for de-oiled rice bran, prohibiting its export until September 30, 2025. This change, notified under Notification No. 56/2024-25-DGFT dated February 4, 2025, modifies the earlier notification (No. 23/2024-25) issued in August 2024. The revised policy falls under Chapter 23 of Schedule-II (Export Policy), ITC(HS) 2022, restricting exports under multiple subcategories of bran, oil cake, and residues from cereals and seeds. The amendment is made under Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, in alignment with the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. S.O. (E). — In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby, in amendment of the earlier Notification No. 23/2024-25 dated 16th August 2024, makes the following changes in Export Policy conditions under Chapter 23 of Schedule-II(Export Policy), ITC(HS) 2022 :
