Subject: Restriction on import of Peas and Pulses.

Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry has issued the Notifications (i) S.O. No.1478 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, (ii) S.O. No.1479 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, (iii) S.O. No.1480 (E) dated 29th March, 2019 and S.O. No.1481 (E) dated 29th March, 2019, restricting import of Peas and Pulses.

2. The Notifications comes into force with effect from 01st April, 2019. Copies of the said Notifications are attached herewith for ready reference.

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 29th March, 2019

S.O. 1478(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby notifies the Import Policy of items of Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule-1 (Import Policy), as under-

Restricted. Import of Moong shall be subject an annual (fiscal year) quota of 1.5 lakh MT as per procedure to be notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade:-

Provided that this restriction shall not apply to Government’s import commitments under any Bilateral or Regional Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding.

2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

S.O. 1479(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Import Policy Conditions of items of Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule-1 (Import Policy), as under –
