Notification No. 34/2000-Customs (N.T.)

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 47 of the Customs Act, 1962 ( 52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in me Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 17/2000 -Customs (N.T.), dated the 1st March, 2000 [G.S.R. 181 (E). dated the 1st March, 2000], except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby fixes the rate of interest at twenty – four per cent. per annum for the purposes of the said section.
