Notification No. 124/2000-Customs
In exercise of powers conferred sub-section (4) of section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) read with sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.37/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996, namely:-
In the said notification, for the words and figures “from the whole of duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975”, the words, figure and letter “from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, and special additional duty leviable under section 3A of the said Customs Tariff Act” shall be substituted.
