Notification NO. 4/2004-Customs (N.T)

In exercise  of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 15/2002-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th March, 2002, namely: –

In the said notification, for Sl. No. 19 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

(1)  (2) (3) (4) (5)
“19. The whole of-

(1)The  State  of  Punjab;

(2)The  State  of     Himachal Pradesh;

(3)The Union Territory of  Chandigarh.

Commissioner of  Customs (Preventive), Amritsar. Additional Commissioners, or Joint Commissioners, of Customs working under the control of the Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Amritsar. Deputy Commissioners, or Assistant Commissioners, of Customs working under the control of the Commissioner of Customs (Preventive), Amritsar.”.

Note:- The principal notification No. 15/2002-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th March, 2002 was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), dated the 7th March, 2002 vide G.S.R. number 171 (E) and last amended vide notification No. 27/2003-Cus. (N. T.), dated the 23rd April, 2003, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (i), dated the 23rd April , 2002 vide G.S.R. number 349 (E).
