CBIC Appoints Common Adjudicating Authority – N/N 22/2025-Customs (N.T.)

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), through Notification No. 22/2025-Customs (N.T.) dated 7th April 2025, has appointed a common adjudicating authority under the Customs Act, 1962. The notification designates the Deputy Commissioner at ICD Whitefield, Bengaluru, as the common adjudicating authority to handle two show cause notices issued to M/s Aardwolf Material Handling Pvt. Ltd. The first notice, numbered 493/2024 dated 16th May 2024 and corrected by corrigendum 2374/2024 dated 27th July 2024, was originally under the jurisdiction of the Deputy Commissioner, ICD Whitefield, Bengaluru. The second notice, numbered 583/2024 dated 15th June 2024, fell under the Deputy Commissioner, ICD Concor, Kanakpura, Jaipur. This appointment consolidates the adjudication process under a single authority to streamline proceedings.

S.O. 1669(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4, read with section 3 and sub sections (1) and (1A) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, hereby appoints officer mentioned in column (4) of the Table below to exercise the powers and discharge duties conferred or imposed on officers mentioned in column (3) of the said Table in respect of Notice mentioned in column (1) of the Table, for purpose of adjudication of show cause notices mentioned in column (2) therein, namely:-
